Our first kill. It was a Sunday early evening and we were coming home from a local Buick Club picinic. We had only had our car on the road for about a month since restoration when a new V8 Mustang pasted us. I told my wife that I really liked the looks of the new Mustang and she agreed. The Mustang and I rounded the corner together on a nice wide stretch of road and the Mustang decided that he was going to show me what he could do so he opened it up. I had too much traffic in front of me to answer to his challenge. I turned to my wife and said if I can catch a light with this guy I am going to show him what the old muscle is all about. This statement was discussed between my wife and I as we rolled through traffic. Then we caught the red light I was hoping for, my wife was telling me not to but there was the honor of the car. The light turned green and I just started to roll away and said to myself why not, I stabbed the gas and it was like the car knew it had a point to make and away we went. The next light the Mustang won't even pull up next to us as I was explaining to my wife that I had do what I did for the honor of Her 70 GS. Steve Hunkins
Good one for the honor of our marque. My wife is the same way when it comes to this kind of thing. They just don't get it.
Nice Kill :beers2: ... after 11 years of riding in the Pass. seat with me, my wife KNOWS when its gonna happen and she instinctively puts her head back, snug against the headrest  I used to warn her with "...PREPARE FOR LAUNCH !!!" but now I dont have to after all these years o No::3gears:
Awesome, I love it. Most people don't realize the power of some of these old buicks. We let a young mechanic take the 70 electra out for a run one day and when he gets back he says holy sh*t that thing got balls, it hauls a**!!! Imagine if I let him take out the gs, that would of scared the livin sh*t out of him, LOL!!!
