Damn it beau!! A triple back stage vert.....is one of two right tho? Jim Lore had one that JW done..or is this it.....them damn floor mats...55yrold originals look fine...5 year old aftermarket are Green ha wtf
I can make room for both of them . The problem is I would need to sell the house to buy them !!! Bill
Also does not have a 12 bolt rear end as listed. Best of the best and they cannot get the bracket that holds the heater hoses in the correct orientation.
The black car looks like the one that Mark Boice in CA was restoring 5 or 6 years a go. That was supposedly a tri black Stage 1 'vert, too. Same type of option load, manual brakes, etc. And it does have CA plates. Search videos by "scared shiftless"
Theres no need to sell the black one just collect insurance when that fuel leak burns it to the ground.
Not Lore's car.. his has the correct Goodyear Polyglass GT's on it, and there is no way he would have taken those off for BFG's.. Plus there is no way I did that poor a job spacing out the screws holding the bottom of the door panel on. Yikes.. As to the true number of triple black stage 1 ragtops.. There were 19 Regal Black 1970 44667 cars built, but the way the reports go, they don't say which car had which interior, top color ect.. just an aggregate number of each color/option produced. How many of them were triple black, and equipped with the Stage 1 option... no one knows. No more than a handful I would assume, if your buying a ragtop, black is typically not the color of choice for the top or interior. If I recall correctly, Jim's car was actually a dealer stock order, not a customer ordered car. It's like the salesmen got together and said "let's order this one all black, and see how that looks." But that was 20 years ago I knew that stuff about that car.. so I could be totally wrong here.
I don't Think Jim has the Black one anymore only the GSX. I could be wrong but I think he sold that car to Rick Hendrick or one of Rick's buddies years ago.
Wasn't Jim's car the floor model for the dealer in New York..Amity Ville or something...seams like there was a story in the GSXtra YEARS ago..my dad and Jim talked occasionally long time ago and seams like that was the story he told him as well...I know the GSX he had..maybe the same he has now was a show car..chromed everything....he gave us the 4.78 gear from that car..still have it
That car was owned by a customer of mine about 11-12 yrs ago.He didnt want to wait on me to get to it.He sold it to a guy in Cali.He had the car restored by an outfit called "Scared Shiftless" - Santa Anna .Theres some video on Youtube about it.
Hey Joe - is the red one one you had about 15 years ago that got sold to someone in Chicago. If I remember right it also had power windows.
The goobers that were goin on about stage 2 stuff in the trunk and other horse manure pulled from thin air????.....yea thats them
Hi Lon ,no never owned that one .But I do have the one youre talking about.Hope to see you &Lance at BG.
