Not sure why there plastic, but mine has many cracks and a couple missing pieces... Perhaps off a parts car, but I desperately need a grill... Don't mater how nice the body looks, Grill can make or break a car.....

If you can help, I'd be greatfull

    Thanks David Carter

Hi David, I've got the one out of my clone that I used till my TPP grille arrived.
It's painted black with QQ Saturn filler. All the studs are there some have been patched in but fairly solid. If you (or someone near you) are coming to Nats in Bowling Green I could bring it with me.

Dave, let me check into the shipping. I might have the box my grille came in which would help. As far as the money is concerned just cover the cost of shipping and enjoy your ride.

That's one heck of an offer, Eddie! That's what our Buick community is all about, helping other members in need. :TU:

David, if the shipping idea doesn't work out, I would bet we have some members from the Twin Cities that will be going to BG, and would be willing to bring the grille back that far for you. You could post for help in The Bench with the transport. :Comp:

No problem David. It's all about the hobby (unless the construction industry folds on me  ) I'll also be at John's Indy event if more MN folks end up there. Hopefully we can get the grille to him without having to leave it in the capable (culpable?) hands of shippers.

    You guys are awsome...

Hey I'd be happy to cover shipping... Just let me know... I' don't really know anyone from this site personally, the only one I've ever talked to is David Gramlow? Met him once at local event..Heck of a nice guy with nice car.. I love how the people on this site help each other out.. I know some are more well off than others, Older, and whatnot, I may not have Money for new stuff, but I love Buicks just like everyone else on this site... God bless those of you who just wanna GET BUICKS ON THE ROADS..and help out fellow Buick enthusiasts....

    MAN I LOVE THIS SITE...

Eddie, Could you post some pics of your car for me.. Either PM them to me or POST EM>>.. I'd like to Make you some cool photo edits, or Postcard callages and mail em your way, just for being a standup guy..

I'll need your address and I'll get em to ya in the mail.. I'll send some other collages I've created of board members cars... Kinda cool collectibles..

    Thanks a lot.

Make sure that you have a packing company pack it and insure it. I just went through this, of course mine got broken in shipping, my luck. Anyhow, they paid the claim, good thing it was professionaly packed. They tried to say it wasn't packed right, to that I could say so, pay up. It also pays to have good pictures and proof of what it's worth. :TU:

that is a great gesture there eddie :TU: :TU: :TU: i just recently mailed out a couple of grills and found out if you use 2x2 to make a frame like a picture frame screwed together one on each end and two in the middle spaced out screw a 1x1 down the middle (bottom) to stiffen it skin it with cardboard staple the crap out of it then pack it full of crumbled up newspaper take a pic put the top piece on you can measurer it just right to get under the 108 inches usps requires it should be around 30 to ship to mn plus ins.

I doubt we have any professional packers here in "Smallville" but Columbia probably does. I'll check into that today since I'm headed up that way on business anyway. I would sure feel better knowing it was riding to MN with a board member from BG but with gas the way it is they may all be flying in from there. Not exactly sure where Detroit Lakes MN is Dave but maybe someone will chime in thats going to be there with some extra room going home.
Thanks BTW for the collage offer, thats really nice and I'll try to get some pics of her to you. She's a long way from being finished but I love driving her and other people seem to enjoy her at the cruise-ins. Mostly interior stuff left to do (wrong year door panels and incorrect buckets) and lots of detail work in the engine compartment. Hope to cure most of that sometime this year with any luck.
I'll get back to you after I get prices for shipping if no other help comes available by the end of this week.

Geeze David, I just mentioned where you live to Julie (my wife) and turns out you're close to my sister-in-law and her husband who live in Fergus Falls. Small world huh? I'll post a request in the bench to see if anyone happens to be close enough to help on transport.

I just received a grille from Todd (pookn8or), and it arrived in perfect shape. The only tough part of the deal was getting the grille out of his packaging!

Finally got the grille packaged to my liking and shipped. Should be there by Monday Dave. Fed-ex. I insured it since my trust in shipper's is a bit slim.
Hopefully it'll look decent once installed.
