I have a 70 Riv I am parting out. I was told the 455 is a stage 1. How could I verify that this is true without removing the heads to see the valves on the bottom side.o No: I wonder if there are numbers somewhere on the block, heads, dist, etc...:bglasses: Would someone let me know. You can't verify without pulling the heads. Reg. and Stage 1 heads have the same casting #'s and the only way to be sure is to pull the heads and see.
