This is an older kill story but one of my favorite memories growing up. It was back in 2001 me and a buddy were cruising to a concert in the Lesabre 455 (It was completely stock then, around 73,000 original miles)
We were on a road that was known for speed traps and heavy cop traffic, so it wasn't the best place to race but when your 17... who cares  . We were in the right lane and the 300 zx pulled next to us and cruised along side of us. After about 1/4 mile he started reving to get our attention and he did. We stopped at a red light and had cars in front of us, so once the light turned green we slow rolled to the next light to purposely catch it. Once the light turned green I punched it down enough to get going but avoid lighting em up. Once we got rolling I punched it and let the passing gear and 4bl take over:3gears: . I was about a car length ahead of him and never really pulled away but he couldn't close the gap. At about 100 MPH I let off, my adrenaline was through the roof. Thats when I realized we were being pulled over by the lovely Jacksonville Sheriffs Office:eek2:! I turned into a neighborhood and stopped and the 300 zx kept going, ofcourse the cop followed me. The cop told me he was about 3 cars behind us, watched us slow roll and already knew. He said he hit the lights right off the bat and was flooring it just to keep up. I was issued a drag racing ticket and a court date:Dou: . I ended up paying $75 for the ticket $200 for the court fee, and if given the chance.. I would still do it all over again. My buddy brings this up all the time, and I love it when friends ask me to pop my hood and rev the engine because of the story.

Best part of the story. I found this out a few years later when a friend of a friend recognized my Buick. It was the driver of the 300 zx ( a drummer for one of the local bands playing the concert that night) He said that he watched the cops turn after me and thought I was running. He kept going and never looked back. What he didn't know is the Officer had his tag number:grin:. He told me the next morning he had multiple cops banging on his door and was almost arrested! He was shocked that I still owned the Buick, and told me the 300zx blew the engine about 6 months later.

Like I said, One of my favorite memories...:TU:
