70 hood latch release mechanism

I am in need of a 70 Skylark/GS hood latch release assembly, with release rod. I have used Todd's image to show what I need.

Please advise of availability and shipping to Ottawa, Ontario.

Still need the mechanism and 7 3/4" release rod.

 

Randy- I have one... Only issue is the round hole that the rod goes through is gone. It still has the 1970 hood latch on it. I can cut the piece off of a 1971 latch assembly... Here is where it broke...

I will keep it in mind, while I investigate to see if it could be nicely repaired. In the interim, I will keep looking in case another should come up.

I bought one from Fred, but the tab that holds the spring and was badly bent in such a manner as to inhibit the full travel of the mechanism at the pivot point.

Naturally the tab broke off while attempting to straighten.

I cannot believe these are that difficult to get. i hope I have what I need for my cars.

 

So mine is not unique.

 

I did not know there were two different latches for 70 and 71. Is this latch a 70 latch?

 

Does not look like a 70 to me.
