Interesting - Anybody call? I would if I was in a position to buy. I'd prefer a white one next time.

I called. Seller says it was originally yellow. Stage 1 auto. Asking 100k. Trim tag is missing. Car needs to be confiscated and crushed

You can get reproduction trim tags made, but you MUST provide proof

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

Why would it need to be confiscated and crushed?

I know the guy and the car real well. He bought the car 20 years ago and it is a real yellow GSX that somebody painted white.
He has the build sheet to prove it. I have told him that he could get a trim tag if he provided the build sheet but he just never did it.
I don't know why you're saying it should be crushed just because the trim tag is missing. Trim tags can be stolen at car shows, misplaced during a restoration, etc.

No offense to your friends car. I was making a jab at someone on another thread. Sounds like a nice car and yes, the trim tag can and should be replaced.

    Ha! What a knee slapper!

    Riddle me this...

Your aqua car, good original, no?

Your Scat Pack, known since day one, no?

Your lime 71, good original, no?

    Your GSX, good original, no?

I find that ironic. Nothing is being left to chance.

    AND

Very smart, especially given the level of acceptance for fraud across this hobby.
