Scam, but I sent it to someone in Austin last week just in case & his reply was "those pictures weren't taken anywhere near Austin."
Probably just getting whatever info they can, phone#, etc. Then they will try to get your $. The voice thing is not likely, although as more systems use your voice for authentication this could become a thing.
I could see getting whatever info they can but since Chris was so specific with respect to them wanting a voice sample I figured he much know something. I also happen to be reading an older, but extremely interesting book about fraud right now in relation to my other hobby (Chris knows about that project too) so I'm curious about the latest & greatest scams.
I guess they want to “verify” you and they enter your number to get a Google voice number and ask you for the verification code and then scam away. Crazy!
