No added spoilers and fender emblems in the correct zip code likely put it over the top :D

Who the heck cares about correct when you can sell it for that kind of money !!! We all have seen more correct cars sell for way less !!!
This color combo is killer and I would guess the person that bought this car is not a die hard Buick person. Probably someone that just enjoys old classic cars and probably has a collection of very nice but maybe not 100% correct cars.

The color combination is a big part of the car bringing the money helped overcoming some of the flaws. I Saw it in person a few years ago when it was at Nick house having some of the issues fixed. That car is just a Stunning combination.

Yeah, people always say that when someone pays big money for a car no matter when it was. People paid big money in the 80's and 90's and now are cashing in for some good returns. We don't know what the market is going to do on these cars going forward. This buyer may cry for sadness or happiness in the future only time will tell if they made the right move buying it for top dollar. No one seemed to think these cars would ever go this high and who knows what the future holds.

Thornton did not restore it I did most of the untangling & fixed and assembled what I could with the owner finishing. Yes Some things definitely were close but not 100%.

Whoever restored it then probably charged over 100k and its probably costs 125k or more now good luck finding a rusty project 20-30k add 10k drive it now premium..sounds about right to me.Lets see what that 72 4speed stage1 vert brings.
