whats the meaning of blue plate? i've heard of black plates but not blue ?

the blue plates came out after they stopped using the black ones

 

1969 was last year for black plates; don't know how long any transition period might have lasted. My March 1970 car is a blue plate.

 

And what is interesting is the blue plate in the photo, is the same license plate number as the red/white GS that Don used to own, and as a matter of fact, the picture is of his old car, so who knows what this guy is selling. Maybe that is why he says "Must see", lol! Buyer Beware, and don't expect it to look as pictured.....
