There was a 70GS455 4spd a short time ago on ebay and I wonder if this is the one ? cant be that many in this price range.. as I recall it was listed multiple times.
What flood ND isn't :Brow:near the coast.. Ok I got pics but can't figure how to get them from iPad so will try from work tomorrow. I will tease and say it has chrome valve covers :Brow:
heres the pics, field find..4 speed, nom 455, drum brake, few options and shiney valve covers? To far from me but prob worth a look at for somebody? Gord
You are aware that Minot, ND was severely flooded in 2011, aren't you??:laugh: http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2011-06-23/national/35235149_1_souris-river-record-flood-minot https://www.google.ca/search?q=mino...CB8rGqgHCp4CAAQ&ved=0CFIQsAQ&biw=1016&bih=591 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXQHozCA7oU BTW, if that dealer is where I think they are, on the west side of town, they may not have been flooded at all. Much of Minot is located in the Mouse, aka Souris, River valley. Most farmland around there is high and dry. I used to go through Minot fairly frequently in past years.
hey Tom, ya i couldnt see the high water mark so figured it may have been high and dry? I havent been down that far, we flew out of Fargo a few times the past few years in the spring and WOW..lots of houses and stuff under water, road closures, dump trucks, loaders and backhoes going everywhere..I was happy the airport was on high ground..
Gord, if I was still trucking through there, I'd be happy to check it out for you. :3gears::3gears::3gears: Alas, I'm now running a regular route south, then east to TO, and back home via Hwy 17, where the deer, moose, wolves, and eagles like to play.
I'd take a look if it wasn't 5 hrs away, and I am not really looking myself. We have Bismarck members who might?
I find my self coming back to look at the pics that have been posted far to often ou: I am trying to keep a grip on sticking to what I Have now but this car seems to be calling out too me ou: Does anyone know if it is a real BBB/4sp car? Or how solid it is? Chris
I asked the dealer if its a stage car and he replied prob not and he said he did not know how come it has stage decals on air cleaner. He claims it was an original 455 -4 gear car, He said the trunk lid has rust on inside and the floor looked alittle rusty but not too bad? Possibly the build sheet is in the car still? Says the car runs fine? I am not trying to promote or discredit the car, just repeating what the salesman told me? There has to be somebody close that can do some investigating for the curious minds. Tom, you prob never go through Atikokan on your travels, we are off the beaten path here...
Gord, the one and only time I got close enough to Atikokan via Hwy 11 was the night I nearly hit a moose just east of Hwy 622!!:shock: I drive past its junction with Hwy 17 every week though.
If someone is REAL interested in the car there's a possibility I could look at it this week. I'm 100 miles away.
A dealer is actually admiting that the car has "some" rust????? My experience has been that if they've said that, the chassis must be about ready to come up through the body panels!!ou:
