Will this be making its return to YouTube? Great to see an update!

The YouTubes have had to take a back seat for a bit. I got buried when ye olde covid hit the homestead.

I suppose if you wanted to pay for the interior that is en route, plus a bunch of labor that's already been done :D

Rust repair is being done while the green 69 simmers. New tulip panel was installed since the entire window channel was pretty eaten up. I still have the corners of the window to do.

Things have escalated. Body shell and doors are body worked and final primed. Tomorrow the blaster is coming out to blast chassis and undercarriage.

Adam, are you having any trouble getting paint and body supplies? I was told by a body shop here that a plant that supplies at least some of the supplies to all the body shops across the country had a fire and it will be causing supply chain issues for everyone. Have you heard anything about this?

I've only had an issue getting PPG Shopline JP 202 primer. Other than that, no issues yet. I haven't been buying a ton of material lately, though.

Geeze.. this escalated quickly! I thought this was going to be a driver??? Now a frame off?!? Guess the owner is getting "bored" in his old age... :)

We agreed that it wouldn't be clean enough for the level we are try to achieve. They come out so much cleaner if you can split them apart like this.

    Blasted!

Chassis is ready to get blown apart and painted. Body underbits and firewall are hosed in black epoxy.

Side note: this is a CA emissions car that has a remote mounted filter above the rear end, vent line going down the passenger side of the frame, and a charcoal can like the 71-72, except it has 3 ports. Check out the bracket that was half-assed welded to the body….

That looks super. I wonder if they gave the job of welding those brackets on to the new guy?

Slow, painful progress. I hate front suspension.

Fuel and brake lines were dropped off today. So what else would I do on a Sunday? :D Notice the vent line running down the passenger side, since this is a CA emissions car. I just ordered the kit for a 71 instead of a 70. Same exact line.

I’m ready to drop the body back on the chassis as soon as the body mounts come in.

Got the body dropped onto the chassis today. Doors are installed and adjusted…no pic of that though. Started body work on hood, fenders, and trunk lid.

Could be a pipe dream, but I might see some color on this thing before MCACN.
