I'm looking for guidance on the best shock (for street use) for my 70 Skylark GS. Recommendations would be appreciated. Also looking for the correct blue/gray paint to repaint the shocks with.

    Thanks

    Depends on budget:

Low dollar - Monroe Gasmatic or KYB

Medium dollar - Edelbrock IAS, Bilstein

    High dollar - Koni

I have the Edelbrock shocks - they are great.

In the low dollar realm - any thoughts on the Gabriel ultras vs the Monroe's vs the KYBs?

I got KYB's and I love them. The car handles stiff enough and at the same time handles fairly comfortably. I would go with KYB's without a second thought...

I vote kyb also, but can't compare from experience with others.
