Up for sale is my 70 GS(350). This car is an original Aqua Mist car with white painted top. I do have the build sheet and it and the data plate confirm it as a D99 two-tone paint car. According to the GS reference guide there were a total of 425 D99 GS350 cars in ALL colors. There was also only 166 Aqua Mist GS350s (compared to 174 455s), so finding a finding a car with both options is quite unique. This car does have the original drive train intact. Serial numbers on the engine and trans do match the VIN on the dash and the build sheet. I have had this car for a about 2 1/2 years, I purchased it as a restoration in progress. The previous owner had owned the car since 1972 and started the restoration but only got the car painted. When I got it the interior was gutted, but all the pieces were in boxes. The engine had not been started in years but again all the pieces appeared to be there. The car sat covered up at my shop for another year or so until early 2008 when I started putting it back together. Surprisingly the engine turned over smoothly and with new spark plugs and gas fired right up. It was pulled all cleaned, gaskets replaced, and painted. New fuel pump, carb rebuilt, and Pertronix. Has a little cold idle issue but runs smooth and pulls hard once warmed up. Transmisssion was also rebuilt and shifts good. Rearend is 3.08 non posi. Interior is all new. Carpet, door panels, headlines, seats(covers and foam), package tray, console woodgrain, dash woodgrain. Has factory gauges but guages have been added under the dash so factory ones are not connected. Also has the rare 24 hour clock. 14" Super Sport wheels with trim rings and new centers. Asking $16K reduced $14,500 complete pictures at: http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/nn80/raresun/70GS350/
All the photos I currently have are posted here on photobucket. http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/nn80/raresun/70GS350/
