    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

Picked up a 70 GS 350 roller from a board member. It was recently painted, (not sure if I am going to keep the color so we'll wait to show the entire car later)... I stripped the rest of her down and now slowly attending to detail before assembly.
I will post periodic updates here. This is not a restoration but will be a driver.....I can't weld worth a damn nor know how to use a paint gun, nor need this to be concours "corect" so please be easy on me but do appreciate the feedback/assistance along the way.

Car will have a 72 455 from an Electra, have a ton of parts for it already but needs to go to the shop still.
Car will have a Muncie M20. I already have 98% of the 4 speed parts including trans, shifter rebuilt by J Cook, speedometer, pedals, bellhousing, and linkage, steering column I rebuilt and much more.

Few things I'll note so far:

8.5 Rear end rebuilt by Brian Trick with 3.23 posi.
Dash and bezel removed, new bezel from Todd, gauges installed in bezel and will install after painting lower dash.
Cleaned heater controls and newer and cleaned up heater box cables.
Heater core box removed and painted with new internal seals (the ones I could get to)
    New heater core from SS396.
    Painted upper dash flat black
    Painted upper cowl semi-gloss black.
Many more parts already blasted and painted while waiting.

    More to come...

Where did you find the parts for the 4 speed conversion? I’ve been thinking about starting to collect parts for a manual swap.

I have been slowly collecting over the years. I did buy a bunch of stuff from a board member a few years back. Ebay and V8Buick mostly. A lot of new stuff stuff such as bushings and linkage etc new from ToddGS.

How the heck can you see that haha. I purposely have not been posting pics of the body because I'm not sure I am going to keep the stripes. Car was freshly painted 3 or 4 years ago before I got it with the stripes... I am not putting anything on it yet to get in the way of a new paint job yet as undecided. Car is ready to go back in the booth as is.. Over the winter I'll decide to either keep it as is or paint it the original Gulfstream blue....

It's actually silver. Would be an easy paint job to paint it same color so don't have to paint the jams.

Dash painted, pillar posts painted, new LED bulbs in gauges and heater switch, new sticker kit (should have went with the more expensive kit), new glove box rubber kit, new Parts Place dash bezel and Tach from Todd and trunk painted. Will cover bolt holes with drain plugs and a quick blast of trunk paint when they come in. Next is probably to roll the frame out and over the winter and tackle that and under the car. Yeah probably a better order to do things but it's cooling down and wanted to paint as much as I could on the top side before I have to start heating the shop here in NY. Oh and back glass installed but haven't taken a pic yet.
