    Hi Guys,
I Have a 70 GS 350 with a M20 in her. Currently using a 350 turbo drive shaft but its a two piece and I'm making a little more horse power now. My question is what length should the new drive shaft be? What were they from the factory? Thanks Gary

70 Specs show for a GS 350 and 455 with manual trans it should be 56" from center of u joint to center of U joint. This assumes stock rear end.

1970 gs350 with 4 speed with 8.2 rearend should be 56.00 inches center to center of universal joints. Source:TSB 71-I-5A of Sept 25, 1970. Discussed different lengt shafts for 1970 cars with 8.2 rear, and 1971 cars with 8.5 rear. Note: Some 1970 FLINT built cars cars had 8.5 rears after May 10, 1970. that TSB was 70-I-91 of May 15,1970. Those drive shafts would be 54.429 inches center to center.

Thanks guys...the turbo 350 drive shaft I'm using is 56 as well. I just wanted to confirm it and yes I have the stock 8.2 rear. Fremont built car.

Not sure if I would trust a two piece. Your not driving a school bus.

Yes and the rubber holding the two pieces is dry rotting now...I agree on trusting it...I plan to drive my car a lot so that why I am having a one piece made for her. Thanks
