Adam, I think all that is shown in the 70 assembly manual. If you don’t find the info let me know. Also I think the middle one gets a cap. Duane
Jason, I don’t think we ever took points off for the clamps with the rounded ends, but you and I both know they are not originals. I will tell you this, when I did the ones for my 69 & 71 cars I cleaned up originals and painted them the correct colors. But that’s just me. Duane
in 71 it looks like buick ditched the little clamps on the emmisons hoses only to bring them back in 72....come on buick make up ya damn mind!!!
does the charcoal in that tank ever need refilling,if so how can you tell and what do you refill it with???
For 71 you really can’t tell which ones had clamps and which didn’t. I used an original pair of heat embossed hoses & tank, which I took off a nice low mileage 71 car (cleaned them up) and the original clamps were not in the correct places, according to the assembly manuals. So go figure. Duane
i was going by page8-6.3 of the 71 manual it shows no clips on the charcoal canister or by carb for the emmisions hoses....72 shows the clips and i believe 70 does on the california cars...so thats why i assumed they emmitted them for 71
I don’t know, like I said I used the pair of hoses and the tank, which was date coded correct for my car, and some locations had clips. The clips were the original style and had been on there forever, leaving depressions on the hoses. I cleaned up the hoses without removing the painted heat embossed lettering and they ended up looking like new. Everyone wondered where I found NOS hoses. Duane
