I planning to try to make one of these fit in my 65 Skylark. Anyone have one?

NOTE: I have asked a potential local source for one of these. So, if they have one, I will probably buy theirs for convenience and to save shipping.

Got one if your local source doesn't work out.

The repros are really nice - Just got the OPG catalog. About $250.00 apiece. How many you think they'll sell at that price? Although that is different than for your year. The ones I'm talking about fit 68-72 (correct for 70-72).

That sounds great Ron, but I think the rules say I have to wait for GSFred to reply, do I not?

Can't answer that, did you contact him via an email or PM that you want his part?? I don't know what is correct but mine is forsale for weeks and another guy answered me in my forsale ad and by PM . Ron

    Steven,

I don't think there are really any exact rules for the "parts wanted "section. Just in the parts for sale section has the rules.

That as far as I know. But looked like you missed out and Jeff may have got the $25 one.

Steven ~ You can have 1st dibs on Ron's overflow tank since you have a more immediate need for it. If you don't want it, let me know... :TU:

    Hi folks,

Is OPG the "only game in town" when looking for a repro? I thought someone else had them a while back?

There is a fellow on eBay selling also out of Pennsylvania.. Search Buick gs coolant bottle and you"ll see it, probably same mfg as the opg..

    Steven,

Does that require a pressurized enclosed coolant overflow for your engine cooling setup?

I see in the pics your using a more modern overflow container.. Is there a reason why you want to go to the 70's era bottle?

I am considering doing the same thing so I am interested in you're reasoning on this?

No, I am using the factory radiator, not the LS1 style radiator and it all works just the same.

It may look newer than the older style bottles, but it functions exactly the same.

    I see..
I am using the reverse flow with lt1 style rad so I may have to use the sealed container..

Just remember, LS motors are not reverse flow like the LT motors.
