A back in day pic of a 70 GS 455 convertible. Triple white, auto, am/fm console, power windows. 3.42 posi This pic taken in 1983. Rough complete Car was bought for $500 not running then. Wheels had been stolen and owner asked my friend to bring some wheels and brought some unilug craigers. The unilug holes were slightly bigger then then the weenie lug nuts. We hooked it up to a tow bar and a 69 ranchero. We’re going to tow it 40 miles past the Golden Gate Bridge. When we got to Novato California the drivers front wheel came off and jammed under wheel well launching GS in the air. A tow truck towed it home 15 miles. Much damage done to front suspension. My friends dad said there was NO way he could park in front of his house. We towed several blocks away to a friends house and put the front Jack stands so we could fix the suspension damage. The next day a young girl driver came around the and lost control and smashed into the same driver side fender that had been damaged by the wheel coming off. Her insurance paid my friend $1500 and he got to keep car. After suspension got fixed the GS conv was moved across town where it was in the 1983 NorCal flood where the water got halfway up the doors! My friend fell out with car after all this and sold it for $1500 in 1984. Did this car survive? Anybody own a triple white 455 auto convertible? This the sad history of car. Note 69 cougar eliminator parked in front of GS
