Perhaps I could get some information first... I have a 68 GS400 which just has a fan, no clutch. I am pulling the original 400 and installing a 70 SF455. The 455 engine came with a clutch fan. The clutch is shot. I do not have air. Do I need a clutch fan or only the fan without the clutch... I do not know what should be on a GS without air. If I need the clutch, does someone just have a clutch they could sell? I have an agreement for one from Texas, but I want to make sure I buy what is correct for the car/engine. Thanks, Gil
You want the best cooling possible, 7 blade fan and thermostatic clutch. Full size models used a 5 blade fan. If you car is concours, then you would have a 5 blade fan and regular clutch.
