My Father in law is looking for a "good" straight rear bumper for his 69 Skylark. He wants a piece that can bolt on, polish and cruse. But he doesent want to pay for a show bumper.....basically he wants a great deal on a great bumper..ou: ..i can e-mail him pictures and prices...thanks. Dave
Dave, I have a driver quality one. Some rust on back. Not bent, has as I remember 2 or 3 small dents/mars on one side by the outer upper bracket bolt. The chrome is good not show, it would need cleaned up. It is a complete bumper less the center back up light. Nice tail lights and lens. I would seperate. I would rather not ship but could ship just the bumper no brackets or lights if you want to pay somthing to pack. I would take $50.00 for the just the bumper if you pick it up or I would pack and ship for $20.00 more plus the shipping I would estimate $40.00 but would need to get it taken apart to get a final shipping. I just shipped a 67 front to east cost by Fedex for $35.00. Let me know and I can get pictures. Thanks Bill.
Bill, is there any way you could e-mail me a digital snap shot? Sounds good to me, i just need my Father in law to see it. email--------Brickey440@aol.com Thanks!
Dave give me a few days to get it out and I will take some pictures. As I said it is just driver quality. Thanks Bill.
Thanks Bill, i dont need to collect another core.....i wish he would just open up his wallet:dollar: and get one re-chromed......hopefully he will like this one....it would be shipped to Illinois if he likes it. Dave
If he's not too particular about originality, I've got a rechromed '68 rear bumper. The only difference is, no reverse light above the license plate. Just got it from the plater and never bolted it on. $350 - less than the cost of the chrome work. Donny
Donny, might be up for that, let me see how the used one works out....i know of a 68 in Houston that could use a new rear bumper....Nick Sloop....you reading this?
Donny---if your 68 bumper is still available, I'm interested. Any idea of what it would cost to ship to 60423 (just outside Chicago). Is the bumper still crated, include bolts & brackets? Do you have photos? I would be installing on a 69 GS 400, so would be relying on your statement that the only difference from 68 to 69 is the back-up light assembly. You can send a PM or call me on my cell 815-351-0762. Thanks, Dave McGuire
Dave, It's not crated, just wrapped in paper. It was done by a local chromer, so it was not shipped. I can take some pics Saturday. The only difference in the '68 and '69 is the reverse light. This is just the bumper, no brackets. I don't know what it would cost to ship or what would be the best method. I could deliver it to the GS Nationals. Are you going? Donny
You can typically ship a bumper by FedEx Ground to a business for $20-40. You can also ship them Greyhound Freight.
