I'm looking for a set of motor mounts for my 69 Riv. Clean good condition used originals, NOS, repro aftermarket ones. OR any info on where I can get them. I've read alot about the aftermarket ones not fitting properly and having to grind and modify stuff to make them work.

Those are already in my cart:). I figured I'd try to find some OEM/NOS first so I don't have to piss around with modifying crap. I have good original mounts from a 74 block but from what I understand they won't work and that 67-70 Riv mounts are unique and completely different from all the other mounts:(.

Quick question for those in-the-know. My '67 had trouble with mounts separating from the rubber, specifically left side due to the torque @ fwd acceleration. At some point, the design changed such that the upper and lower metal halves featured an interlock, so that if the rubber failed, the engine would stay put.

Would a NOS '69 mount have this feature? If not, I'd stay away, even if the NOS had been rebuilt w/new rubber.

Devon that's exactly what happened to my left mount, it's almost completely detached. Good thing I pulled the engine as if I did a few more hard pulls I think it would've let go at any moment. Unfortunately the 67-70 "big car" mounts are different from all the rest and as usual not many if any places repro them. So that leaves us with very limited options usually resulting in modifying something to "work" instead of having a direct properly fitting replacement part.

Time for a chain limiting set-up.
