i need to sort out my gas tank and fuel pump.
now, i have the holly blue just in front of the tank, right next to the exhaust and behind the axel. not to smart. what else to do on a sleeper.

I have my slicks in the trunk along with my jack, so i'm limited on what i can do. the car does need to pass tech every week.

i was thinking to buy a new stock tank and have a sump added.
Also, have a section of the tank removed to clearance for the pump.

or- install a JAZ 16 gal. tank, sump included and cut a hole in the trunk floor for the filler. then mount the pump on the side of the tank.

So i'm looking for good ideas around 250 bucks.
    :beers2:
    Thanks!

i mounted a couple in front of the tank on the back cross member area. its above the rear end and completely hidden. get a small inline filter not the canister kind they're to bulky and hard to hide.

I have an Aeromotive pump,Fram canister filter, and a sump. Ran the filter and pump behind the rear bumper right above the rear cross member of the frame. Right on the flat spot of the trunk floor to the left and right of license plate. I have no problem with volume fills a gallon in 24sec. It is very stealthy except for the sump on the tank. If hard mount a pump to a street car make sure run some kind of rubber insulator between pump and body to keep down the noise. And I'll only charge ya $20 for that idea and advise.

SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # GM34QFI Fuel Tank Assembly
Exc. Station Wagon; w/o Evaporation Emissions Control; w/ 2 Vents; (Includes In-Tank Stock Capacity Fuel Pump); Use When Replacing Stock Engine w/ Late Model Engine w/ Fuel Injection; Lock Ring Kit Included

    $318.79 at www.rockauto.com

I Looked up a 1970 Cutlass Oldsmobile for you. Besides the stockers, they have tanks with an optional in-the-tank fuel pump capability. They also have the proper vents (2) and come with the neck.
Got my 67GS (66-67 Olds cutlass) Spectra tank from www.rockauto.com for $130.00 and had neck and 2 vents, perfect fit and match. JUST CHECK FOR OLDS,..... NOT BUICK,....and you'll get a good BUICK tank.

Neither rockauto or spectra list the proper Buick tanks under Buick name,
and they mess up on the years and models. You keep trying till you get a match.
