I have a silly question to ask. On a 69 GS are there supposed to be GS emblems on the fenders? My 68 did. I know there is a GS emblem in the grill but where else are they supposed to be?

    Thanks

The 69 GS has emblems on the Quarter panels above the marker lights, the trunk latch cover and the grille( 67and 69 GS grille emblem are the same emblem).
    Hope this helps.
The engine type emblem is on the hood (350,400,STAGE 1) except the Calif GS which may not have emblems on the hood. Also the rear side Marker lights have 350 or 400 in them.

Yes, the California has the GS emblem on the sail panel. Also, along with no engine designation on the hood the rear marker lights are plain red, no engine designation there either.
