77 is the number for GS 400 Stage 1 4 speed converts for the 69 model year. 113 GS converts were painted Lime Mist for 69. I am unaware of any Sloan records that break this stage 1 convert , 4 speed number down by color. Maybe Roberta or Mike Trom can address this.

    Bryan,

415 stage 1 4 speed coupes. From there, I honestly don't know the color breakdown.

Not that I am defending Dave's post..but, we (the die hard 69 Buick GS guys) ALWAYS appreciate pics of member's cars.. esp 69 Stage 1's. None of us are trying to be 'smart' or 'wise'- just interested in your project. Many of us who have owned and restored DOZENS of the 69 Buick GS's would be more than happy to help you in any way with your project.

PS: we met at the 'Nats, right? You're restoring a stage owned by your dad??

I appreciate the info guys, and yes George we meet at the nat's. I,ve been meaning to get a hold of you but I was trying to wait until I had the car completely apart. It is finally done at the blaster,so pick up this week and then on to the" want /need list". I do have pics(about 200) of the teardown along with 4-hours of video.I will be posting some soon and hopefully with a web page. Im going to start with some of the cars history, so maybe some people have seen or new the car. But I want to start by saying the best part of this restoration is getting to do it with my best friend Wayne T.(also on v8 buick) that I have been friends with for over 35 years. He's got some great buicks also.

Yeah, the car is in a few boxes, shelves, baggies right now. Not at the most attractive state of its restoration. The car has been re-invented a few times in its lifetime. I'm sure Bryan has been saving the best for last. :kodak:

    Bryan,

George is right I just wanted to see a couple of pictures of a Lime green Stage 1.

Just hoping it would stir some interest.

Well, next time, you can take your smart alec post down to the principals office, and see how he likes it. Who wants to see some stupid pictures of a rare car anyway?

Sorry Dave, the last couple of post that I have had on different sites and on this site always seem to get side tracked. When I was trying to just gather info. Like I told my friend if your post would have been deeper into a thread I would have had no problem with it,but since it was the first reply, and then the second post was the same way, I was afraid it was about to go away from the info that I was looking for. I've heard your a good guy,so please accept my apology.

There is the fine example from Steve M. that I was speaking of, I was never asked by Dave if I had pics in the first post, but I appreciate your post Steve. It sure helps what I was looking for.
