Hey fellas, this question is actually for my friend and his '69 Impala. I think that the Centurion and possibly the Wildcat share underpinnings with the Impala.

He wants to convert the drums over to disc, and I was thinking he could grab any '69-'76 or so Impala/Caprice front disc setup and call it a day, drawing off '69-'72 A body experience. He told me that '69 is a one-year only deal, which to me doesn't seem very GM, and that the only thing that will fit on his Impala, is only spindles from another '69.

    Who is right here?

First off the b-bodies changed a bit in '71 so not all the parts interchange from '70 to '71.

From what I can find the spindles are the same for '69 and '70. Here's the kicker, the disk spindles also come up as the same ones used on the Vettes from '69-'82.

So he's wrong as '69 and '70 do interchange. And he's also almost right as those are the only 2 years to get those spindles on that car. Good thing they used them on the Vettes too.
