Can anyone provide some advice on what manual I need to get to work on my convertible's frame? It does go up and down, but when up it drops a small bit between the front and mid frame assemblies, such that it forms a wide "v" here. Not too bad yet but enough to hit the door glass if it is completely in the up position. I tried to look for any frame adjustment points but there does not seem to be any? Thanks JD
There actually are adjustment points With old cars, I hate to do this, but that gap raises the possibility of some body sag in addition to, or instead of, a convertible top problem. The body mounts wear out, it's just something we live with. I wimped out and got a pro to replace the worn ones in my car
Back by the lift cylinders there is an adjustment that will fix this. Look for a flat bar coming down parallel to the back edge of the rear side glass. Where that bar bolts at the bottom will be a nut and bolt attachment that is serrated and adjustable.
