For some reason, I recall that South Dakota is known for unusually low rust/no rust older cars for such a northern climate because the state does not use salt on the roads in the winter ... I thought.
You can also find nice virtually rust free cars in parts of Montana, and Wyoming. I've always thought that this was due the wind blowing at 100 mph whenever it's snowing.:laugh: Thus, snow doesn't have a chance to accumulate on the roads.
