Anybody have a 68 Buick chassis manual available, or know what a fair price would be on eBay? I saw one for $50, not mint condition, and that just seems outrageous.... Thanks,
$50 is not a bad price, if it's at least in fair condition. The chassis manual is a wealth of information you just won't find anywhere else. I picked one up in almost new condition, and I think it was around $75 with shipping.
Get a CD rom from Gearhead cafe for US$ 49.95. No more dirty pages: just print the page you want to use, put it in a plastic cover and take it to your garage to work on the car. Click logo :Comp:
great Thanks for the tips, guys! If I'm gonna shell out $50, the 3-in-one on disc sounds good. Thanks, Boattail...
I saw your thread a few days ago and was thinking. I Usually get rid of stuff I don't need often, but I really like having those chassis's manuals around. I'd like to have a scanner some day so I can post info as neede. Soooo, its like this. If your in the middle of a project and you need info real soon, I will send it to you to use. But I'm gonna need it back when you are done. Or if you have access to a copier you can burn off what you need. LMK. Good luck on the Riv!!!!
gratitude Thanks for the offer, Dan! The disc I ordered from Detroit Iron arrived, including the chassis, body & buick parts manuals. Just in time w/ the info I need for the front end: a trip to the alignment shop resulted in a list of things that need replacing before it's tight enough to bother aligning. Here we go again... Thanks again!
Don't think too much on the price. I have paid the same amount in the past and they are definately worth it. You might also want to hunt down the fisher body manual as well as the assembly manual. Happy Wrenching, Bill
