Hello all. I've been fortunate enough to find most of the hard-to-find parts I need for my '69 restoration. Sadly, I haven't had any luck finding the trunk trim end pieces (the ones attached to the rear qtrs.). I need both sides as mine are severely pitted. If anyone has these trim pieces for sale or knows of anyone who might, please PM me or email me at cvilnonis AT yahoo DOT com. Thanks everyone!!!
Have a set, need to get them off the car. Will try to get to it this weekend. Need to get the chain saw out to cut a tree that is in the way. Not sure of the condition will get them off and clean them up and let you know, thanks Bill Sangster.
no problem Bill. I'm the patient type. Send a pic if you can... I'd like to have solid driver quality.
69SkyInNJ, got the set off the car, but they are pitted. not borken but not good. I thought I had another set, but cannot fine them I will keep looking, problem to many parts. Thanks Bill.
Bill, thanks for your help. Keep looking. Might anyone else point me in the right direction to find these? :TU:
I've been looking for three years now without success. It is the hardest part to find. It would be nice to see these reproduced. The worst part of it is that I think there are some folks buying and holding onto these for ?????, while the rest of us just want a decent one for our project.
must have missed it. got a link? all I see is the '68 deck lid pieces and the '69 trunk trim with BUICK on it. I need the END pieces that sit on the rear qtrs.
Here is what i saw -- i looked at the title but never clicked on the item to see the picture. His description sounds like what you want, but the picture aint it. My bad. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1968...7997104091QQcategoryZ6763QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem -- Steve
Ugh. That looks just like mine. Thanks for thinking of me anyway. At least now there is a picture to go with the description of what I need. Why did GM have to ever create pot metal? ou:
Howsa about this, then? Kinda pricey though. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969...574793244QQcategoryZ34204QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem -- Steve
Steve... not bad. Better than what I have. Your're right, very pricey and I don't need the center piece. What to do, what to do...
Dude, what is your name? o No: It's funny, I need the center piece, not the ends. Although the correct GS center piece I need does not have the B-U-I-C-K on it. Those are much more common. Good luck in your search. I'll look out for the parts for you.
Ken, the name is Che (pronounced Shay). Thanks for looking! Jeff, I look forward to seeing what you can find.
