somebody was lookin for a 65A so i threw this info in , might as well list it here . not mine and it needs to find a new home . free storage for about 5 years or so . i'm thinkin he would take in the $1500-$2000 range ? he turned down $1500 awhile ago . but it needs frame off everything type rebuild . originally a georgia car but sat out in northeast weather for about 10 years . non original 430 , cracked windshield , GS caps in the trunk . security guard photo op in first pic !
appreciate the ad-lib . i knew that pic just needed something ! how about : "crap - i thought all these buicks had mouse motors in 'em"
located upstate from you about 45 minutes northeast of binghamton going towards albany on I-88 . i would call it "paint fade" rust . weather and no wax . when the car was on my trailer previuosly to it shed home i crawled under it - looked kinda solid i thought . i would guess that the original georgia time helped . i had to rip up carpet to get to floor plugs so i could drain about an inch of standing water in back ( windows were down about 2 inches ) - i pounded on floors a little - no give to 'em that i can remember . he let his "car guy" drive it up from georgia to "restore" and all it did was sit in his dooryard probably . owner told me it was original motor - not - probably went bad after a careful test drive by doctor death . if it had been a chevelle or whatever i would not have bothered but its at the point that i do not have time/space for this project but it may be a labor of love for some kind buick freak out there . its just a basic bench seat , column shift , hubcap car but it is a good year and i guess a GS . please check firewall plate info by the way . ### speaking of chevelle's - friend passed away , 73 chevelle SS 454 lookin for a home , big project also . solid but original motor is questionable . interior needs serious help and qtr panel needs work . one for you closet chevy lovers out there .
thanks for the reply,is it possible to get a few more pics of the back and sides and underside of hood and doors?i wanna see what day i can come up there.
yea its is,i will take it for parts if its not restorable,if its possible for those pics i would appreciate it,i assume it does not run correct?
?????????You guy's are calling that a parts car???????????? Youv'e got to be kidding me. When was the last time a complete solid 67 GS400 was posted for sale on this board????.......years.:Smarty: They're always just far enough away that shipping is the deal killer. I f that was in my hometown, that would be a resto project, parked in my barn waiting for a better economy(money).
will get additional pics asap - i'll try and squeeze in there and maybe even get the camera underneath and get a couple lower shots . but- flooding outside right now , GS not in danger but i may be busy . remember non-original 430 - engine , trans and rear condition - ??? did not here it run - it did role though ! i will also recontact him and firm up price etc etc . of course he naturally wanted me to buy it - but realistically thats not gonna happen , he has had a couple people look at it - but - like i said its a big project to do right and so far its been people lookin for more of a "hop in and drive" car . i guess staged67 will be #1 for now if that sounds correct . and , someone pm'd me on the chevelle - that is a recent deal and will have to contact family to get an idea on $$ and see what paperwork etc is available . his daughter is due in town in about a week . thanks .
All, If anyone loses out on this deal and is still interested in a 67 gs400 hardtop, please check my classified. I have a hardtop that is in solid restorable shape that needs fenders and quarters but comes with quarter patch panels that are stamped from the early 80's. all original and there, interior looks like it came off the showrooom, ac car all there, bench. Willing to sell the convertible and hardtop car seperate from each other if interested. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=1917754#post1917754 GLWS on this one! tom
