67 switchpitch - how to connect it?

Larry is correct. I read through the post rather quickly and saw that you were looking for a switch and I knew that I had one that I was not going to use and offered it.
The switch pitch switch will only work with the correct switch pitch transmission (not your transmission).

I understand that original switches wont give me switch pitch function, just felt best to find original parts anyway. However, no point if it wont match my carb. Guess I should look for a switch from same year as the carb.

    Thanks

Just noticed that you wrote ST400. Don’t I have a TH400? *reading about st400 now*

If I have 2-prog connector on the passenger side, what Is this 1-prong connector on driver side for?

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

ST=Super Turbine. Buick's name for the THM400. (GM's designation for the 400 series)

The ST400 can be either "Variable -Pitch" (Switch Pitch) or non-Variable.

Some people call the Buick ST400 a TH400.

Most know what folks are talking about, and a very few are a bit anal and will correct those who use TH400, Turbo 400 and so forth.

Some people also erroneously call the ST300 a "PowerGlide", but that is definatly incorrect, as the ST300 is nothing like the PG except similar looking case.

The Super Turbine 400 was Buick's name for the THM400. 1965-67 ST400's could be switch pitch transmissions. The electrical connector is on the Driver's side of the transmission, not the passenger side. I'm sure Lemmy just mistakenly posted passenger side.

My apologies for the confusion: it *is* on the driver's side. I don't know why I thought it was on the passenger side.
