67 skylark hood

Hey folks
Looking for a near perfect hood for my 67. A stupid deer jumped out in front of me and luckily only hit the hood

I have a nice hood for a 67 Skylark $150.00 .I'm in southwest Ky about 60 miles from BG where the GS Nats are held.

 

Have one, no pix--it's buried in the trailer body, located near Allentown PA, $150, pickup only.

I thought all 67 hoods were the same for skylark,Gs and Special? School me on this.... Might learn something new today.

 

They are the same except for the holes to mount the hood scoops for the GS or the holes down the center for the hood spear on the Skylark.

 

The center of the skylark hood is raised slightly to accept the hood spear. The special and gs is more flatter

 

I thought that was only on the '66 hood???

 

I was told "same hood but different trim package for 67"

U probly do have a 66 hood, I had a 67 Skylark and GS hood, looked the same to me. The 66 Skylark hood should have a slight concave center line for the spear to "fit" into.

 

Green hood is the 66, 67 has more of a point and body lines are different on the hood. Not sure if the grille of a 67 would look right with a 66 hood anyway. 66 is more suttle.

 

Come down to Bowling Green Ky this weekend for the HOT ROD REUNION car show and get my hood at the same time!

 

Here is a pic. LH front corner hood edge has a couple of rust pinholes;most every 67 hood I've seen have a few pinholes if paint is old or stripped off.Paint on my hood is probably 20 years old.

 

My hood I found out after I stripped it had the holes for the spear but was flat in that aria so they are all the same in 67, my 66 hood is raised in the middle to accept the spear but it looks way different than my 67
