I have been searching and really can't find the answer. I did stumble on a thread about 3 years ago that reference a #5398 spring number, but then they went on to a whole lot of interchanges. When looking at the 5398 springs, they say it is for 68 to 72.

So what the heck is the stock spring for a 67 GS400, since my skylark now has the 455 in it which weighs the same as the 455.

I bought the rear moog #6321 springs already, but will need fronts too and just want whatever is stock, however Rockauto.com only lists the rear springs. I would like to use them and use my 5% discount code if possible.

I bought my set thru the GSCA, They work great and the car sits correctly (imo). I think they have someone that makes them in Florida. You might be able to find out some info at their website.

So I ordered the 5450 springs, and they have one square end and one tangential end. The springs coming out have Tangential on both ends. Also the springs coming out measure 17-5/8 tall now after 40 years. The bar dia is about .615 dia.

Closest I can find from Moog charts is the 5230. My concern with those is they seem to match up really well, but boy that spring rate of 250 is low.

    I did find this thread,
    http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=221667&highlight=skylark+front+springs

Gary says the 5230 is low riding. Hmmmm, I'm concerned about being too low and dragging, especially after changing from 300 to the 455.

So, I guess I can spend the $150-200 and get special springs from Global west, espy etc, but seriously, I like the $100ish price on standard moog springs.

Any moog numbers I should choose, or will the 5230's be ok and just don't worry about the low spring rate?
    Thanks guys.

Doing some more checking on the moog site, Keeping both ends tangetial, installed height at 11.00, and inside coil diamter at 3.625-3.630
I come up with the following.
    P/n __________End______End____ I.D."__Bar_height_ load _rate_ free height
    MOOG-5230 Tangential Tangential 3.625 0 .609 11.00 1884 251 18.25
    MOOG-6200 Tangential Tangential 3.625 0 .625 11.00 2028 290 17.99
    MOOG-5234 Tangential Tangential 3.630 0 .625 11.00 2025 297 17.81
    MOOG-5244 Tangential Tangential 3.630 0 .640 11.00 2124 315 17.75
    MOOG-5246 Tangential Tangential 3.630 0 .625 11.00 1872 298 17.30
    MOOG-5256 Tangential Tangential 3.630 0 .640 11.00 2174 315 17.91

So again, what is my best choice?

I used moog 5370 in my 66 skylark with a 430. Might want to check it's specs out. I looked through old threads here, and the info on buickperformance.com and tried to pick a spring that matched what I wanted for rates, compressed length, etc. They were also $107 shipped.
