Hi, I have a brake question. My buddy here has a 67 Skylark, with disc brakes in front. It is a skyark, that was assembled here in Europe. I do not have the caliper number at the moment, but I can get it. Each brake cliper has 4 "pistons" (sorry, do not know the real english word at the moment)
One he has rebuilt, but the other one is so damaged inside, that there is no way to fix it. Are there new ones available (somebody told us, they cost 700 dollars each! :eek2: can't believe that!), or does somebody has a decent one, that is fixable, or a good pair? Do they also fit from other GM cars? Is it possible to use other ones, from a later model? Is there a caliper that can be used with relatively easy modifications, or is there a kit, to buy for installing others to that brake?
Any informations would be great! Thank u! :beers2:

    Contact Mark at www.calipersonline.com
He rebuilds them with stainless steel sleeves with a lifetime warranty. I had a problem with one and he took care of the problem instantly without question.

That sonnds O.K., but it's pretty difficult to do from Germany with the shipping of the old ones, etc.
Is there a kit, where u can swap to other calipers also?
