Found these local to me and I don't have a '67 GS. There's one pin broken on each door emblem, one is a middle pin and other is missing an end pin. What's a fair price to help out a board member that may need these? I'll be keeping the GS emblem, it'll end up as garage wall art.
Fair price? Hard to say when this pair was advertised @ $399 and sold for an undisclosed amount. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1967-gs-400-door-panel-emblems.353638/ I would say $100 for the pair would be a fair price.
I mean no disrespect to other posters, but I have a different opinion on these. This is one of the most difficult parts to find when restoring a 67. (Been there, done that) The chrome bezels are of minimal importance, because they were used on every 67 Skylark that was built, so there are a gazillion out there to hunt for. Plus, they can be repaired and rechromed for minimal money. The real value is in the plastic insert. They tend to crack over time, and the shiny foil on the back can go bad and to my knowledge, none of the common defects are repairable. I can't really tell how good these are, because I would need to roll them around in the light to see internal flaws, but if they are really nice, any serious restorer would be willing to pay $200 to $400 for the pair. Average condition examples would be worth $50 or so each, however.
Yeah the pins make a huge difference in price even though you can glue or silicone the emblems on if they are broken.
In the hope of helping someone with a ‘67 GS that REALLY needs these I’ll sell these for $100 plus shipping. They will be securely packaged! These are not perfect, each has one mounting stud broken off. Chrome looks good but the plastic inserts have minor edge cracking and you can see some slight delamination if you roll them around in the sun. Please don’t buy these just to resell at a higher price!
