I have '67 convertible that I am parting. The frame is not rusty or wrecked if I remember correctly. The cost is $750.00 as a roller, no engine/trans. Do you need the crossmember? I am near Greeley, CO.
Do you know if a '66 Cutlass conv. would work? My dad has one I'm trying to get him to sell. The car is just taking up space (IMO).
The '66 A-body frames have a different rear spring pocket area in them than the '67's... ck them out. One of my partshunters currently has a solid '66 Olds Cutlass convert frame & we could have sold it three times in the last 2 months if it was a '67 BOP convert A-body frame It will eventually sell, but to a '65 or '66 restorer. Another importance difference in early A-body frames is the '64-67 Chevelles have different frame horns than '67-67 BOP A-bodys. If one knows what they are doing & is set up right fabrication wise, one can take a '64-67 ElCamino frame & make it into a '64-67 Chevelle convertable frame. Can't do the same for BOP A-bodies's as not only is the front frame section different in the Chevelle frame, but the boxed inserts are different as well. :3gears: Roger
Sorry guys. I thought it was the conv. top frame. This is interesting to know though. I wish there was an easy way to tell about these interchanges. Hollander manuals are soooo $$$.
