Has anyone here purchased the coils offered by the GSCA in the GSXTRA? I need to replace mine both front and back and can't seem to find anyone else that makes 'em particularly for the rear of my '67 GS. Hotchkis has 'em but only for lowering the car, I would like to maintain a stock appearing height, maybe just a bit higher in the rear? I have seen a couple of other threads on here asking about this but not really getting any answers? I hope someone helps out here though, and appreciate those that do!
:TU: P.S. thats why I love this site!!!

I don't know about the springs offered by the GSCA, but I have seen tons of recommendations for Eaton Detroit Spring. I emailed them this week looking for standard height progressive rate springs for my '67 Skylark. They replied in a matter of hours that yes they do have them. $145 a set plus shipping. As I understand it, they can do anything from stock to made-to-order custom springs. http://www.eatonsprings.com/

    Best Wishes,

Eatons are expensive...You can get Moog coil springs for under $55!
The correct pn for 67 has been discussed here before, so try a search.:TU:

www.p-s-t.com will supply them also. You can get stock or whatever. I actually had mine made for 1" raise all around. They made me pay up front as they said everyone else was actually going stock or lower. Once again, I'm out in left field, but I enjoy the solitude of it!

You had these made for yours from P.S.T. ? Because thats about what I am looking for.
I have seen the previous posts regarding the springs, however I see most folks using them on Skylarks, which are listed in most catalogues and GS always seem to be an exception? I.E. Skylark= part #88899 except GS/wagon

I have new springs now on front and back, not sure who I got front ones from, but were supposed to have been for the big block but they ain't doin' it, I will have to check my receipts and see. The rear are like a catch all version that Sears sold years ago and they are just too high and stiff.
Thanks folks for responding, and I will keep looking at whats available. Want to get them soon though as spring will be here soon, and don't want to be workin on it then, I want to be out cruisin!!! :)

I can try to look up the receipt if you'd like? I know they've been in a couple years anyways. I really like them.

I have bought from ESPO Springs and Things in Pennsylvania. Several different things. I was very happy with them, they had good prices, were very knowledgeable, helpful, and shipped quick. If I were buying springs I would buy there again. The girl that answered the phone then knew her stuff.
A wise man (about A Bodies) once told me. When you replace springs the front are what they are going to be when you set it on the ground, but the rears will settle some over time. In my experience, though somewhat limited in this area, it has been like that. Not a whole lot of settling but some.

Thanks for the responses folks. I did check my receipts and my front ones came from P.S.T. I know I ordered them for a big block however they are not holding up to that. I wonder if they perhaps shipped me small block ones? Too late now as it has been several years since I ordered them and installed them.

She is the owner. She is a racer herself but I think maybe on round tracks.
