I am looking for a pair of small block frame pads for my 66 skylark I think 64-66 will work I am in Western Canada so anyone in this area would be much more cost effective for me. I also could use a pair of hood hinges as well. This is a 66 Skylark formerly owned by GT Performance in Calgary Alberta Canada and has quite a local history I plan to put it back as close as I can recall to my memory of it from the 70's and early 80's. Any one who has pictures of this car please contact me This is a Blue 66 skylark with a L88 hood ( kind of dumb but is how i remember it )

Ken, I believe that 64 are a 1 year only design frame pad. As you may already know, a lot of 64 items were 1 year only. Perhaps you need 65-66 frame pads. :Do No:

I'm also looking for a set of 65-66 small block frame pads, but there's no real hurry for me to get them.

Thanks for the info I will look at one of my 4 - 64's and see I also have a 67 ( wider frame :Dou: ) and compaire I have found a set and if no other is closer i will buy them this friday!! If more come up I will let you know I have put several 350 sbb in my 64's and the stock frame mount and motor mount work wonderfully :TU: I even modified my Hooker Headers to work in the 64 :Brow: BUT this new 66 has some history in Calgary :Smarty: and i plan to do a semi resto on it to the 70's mod style  i remember it being I will post a before pic as soon as it looks acceptable

Ken, do you mean that you've put a sbb 350 into a 64 without changing the frame pads???? And the later sbb 350 engine mounts are a direct bolt up to the 64 frame pads??

When I put a stock 64 300 engine into my vert, I had to snag the frame pads from the donor car as well. I have a set of 65 and later motor mounts, (which I think will aslo fit a sbb 350), but these later motor mounts are too wide to sit properly on the 64 frame pads. They will fit the 64 motor, but will not fit the frame pads correctly :ball: I've been told that I need 65-67 frame pads to make this work.

Reason is, my passenger side motor mount has cracked rubber, and just try to find a set of 64 motor mounts, nobody I've checked with has them. of course, they can always be re-vulcanized, for a kings ransom. Oh well, I'll be parking it for the winter real soon.

YUP thats exactly what i did 64 motor mounts on a 72 SBB on 64 frame mounts works like a charm. I also had one broken motor mount so i BOLTED it together and put it on the passanger side ( no torque lifting on pass side only driver side ) because the ones i ordered were not in yet. I have a new one and I will be able to tell you very soon if it is the same as the 64's I use I also have several project and I know what works for me if it don;t work I make it work :TU:
