If anyone has come across a LeSabre or Wildcat with a manual trans and would be willing to sell the clutch pedal assembly and linkages, please let me know as I'll buy it!!! Thanks!!!
Romy, you are about 4 years too late..... http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=27009 Good luck in your search. I will try and find out what happened with the parts i sold. Peace WildBill
Wow, that would've been sweet!!! Well, at least now I know what the setup looks like and maybe I could find something similar off a chebby or something. If you find anything, please let me know!!:TU:
I have a pedals/linkage set-up from a 67 big car......not sure it will work on a 70....gonna take the stuff to Bowling Green in a few weeks..... Peace WildBill
Romy: Which car are you going to convert to standard trans? Also - did you get my last PM about a "spare" rear end? Do you want me to keep looking or have you found one? Paul
Paul, Yeah, I got your pm...sorry to not reply! I ended up finding a 12 bolt nearby for relatively cheap ($350 non posi) that I'm just going to have to make some adaptations for. It's out of a 70 Impala and is the correct width, but an Imp uses a parallel four link with a panhard bar, whereas our cars use triangulated four links. I'm honestly thinking of designing a 3 link for it (which is really a four link cos I'll have to use a panhard bar) and just going that route. Whatever I end up doing I'll have to change either the car's mounting or the rear's mounting, so why not just redo it all? Or so I'm thinking. The 2 door will be getting converted to manual when I get around to it. Too many plans right now, and not enough time! Plus that VW in my signature is taking up a lot of time now. Wish I could just throw a Buick engine in it and be done with it! How's your car coming?
Hey Romy: Wow, you're going to do a lot of work just to install a rear. There are rears out there. Just be patient, I'll find you one. It probably won't be a posi, but it will be a "bolt-in" swap. Still making progress on my car. Into a new carb and seriously trying to figure out how to get headers installed. Found more needed sheet metal which I'll store until I get all the body parts I need. Then I'll do the body all at one time. Paul
my son took some from a 70 wildcat in mn the other week the yard was full of stick set up cars of course i can not sell them but will see if i can figure the yards number out in my log book of yards for you Greg
Please let me know whatever you can. If I can't find anything, I guess I'll just have to adapt some Chevy stuff...ou:
