I think I have seen a '65 Wildcat kit from AMT sometime on the net.
I just have one from a '66 (a original old one, unassenbled.) and a Hasegawa that is from the 80's.
Where can I find that '65, or has anyone any information on this? Thanks!

AMT produced a 1/25 scale kit for the 1965 Wildcat 2-door hardtop in 1965. Their stock number for the kit was 6525. As far as I know, it was produced only in 1965 and has never been reissued.

There's a built one on eBay right now.

I have an unassembled kit that I found on eBay about 4 years ago. I paid almost US $150.00 for it. You might be able to find one for less. Good luck.

But...........there was a die-cast 65 Wildcat made by SIKU in your home country of Germany. Approx 1/43 scale. They are much less money that an AMT original 65 Kit. Boscoe's info is correct. One time issue only.

Yeah, I'm already bidding on the ebay one! Thanks!
The Siku Wildcat is the one, that I grew up with! That's why I have to real ones now! ;)
I found my Siku in the grass next to our house when I was a kid, and I was so happy, that I found such a cool car! It was even cooler than my '68 Charger and other Matchbox models, I thougt. It was really rough, but I loved it!
Then later I found a very old "hobby" magazine at a house, where they did throw away old stuff. (this was called "Sperrmuell" here, and was held twice a year, where people did put all their old stuff in front of the house, and a garbage truck came and took it all away This was like christmass for me, and I collected everything, from old pedal cars, to old radios, and bikes, and toys, and and and... my mother was going crazy! While she pulled out old stuff out of our garage, I hauled old junk in the backjard!) I started when I was 4 years old, and have never ever stopped since!  only the cars are bigger now!!!   )
In there there was an article about a then new '66 Wildcat Coupe. I recognized the car, and loved it! The only thing I found stupid, was that the German writers said, that americans see it as a sportive car, but europeans rather see it as a very heavy 2 ton of steel thing, even, everybody could see, that it was the sleekest, and sportivest thing around! ;) The name alone was cooler than anything else could be.
I knew immediately back then, that they had no clue what they were writing about!

Oh I'm talking too much! I should go to sleep now and dream of junkyards full of old stuff, that is just waiting for me, to be found!
    Good nite bros.!

I've never seen the SIKU Wildcat. Anyone have a picture?

By the way, have you ever seen the 1965 Wildcat convertible promo? They're very rare. A white one was on eBay a couple of years ago, in mint condition with the original box, if I remember correctly. It sold for at least $600, maybe $750. I was the second highest bidder and was beaten out by a big-time (and big $$$) promo collector from Pennsylvania. I consoled myself by snapping up the convertible kit as soon as I saw it.

Good luck with the eBay auction. If I come across an unbuilt kit for the `65 Wildcat I'll post it here or in the eBay sale section.

Maybe I should not say anything but I have one of the 65 Cat hardtop kits that I bought in 65.
Also just bought a 65 Cat hardtop promo off e-bay. It is a Shell beigh.
In my collection I also have 3 Wildcat Conv. promos, Artic White, Shell Beigh, and "Slate Grey". They are all in their orig. boxes. Bought these from a local Buick dealer I worked for in 1969. Paid $2.00 each.:Brow:
Also have my first promo that was given to me by a Buick dealer in 1950. It is a 50 Super 4 dr sedan in met blue.

If they are mint in their original boxes the convertibles could easily top $500 each on eBay. They might go as high as $750. They are very rare. I've only seen one on eBay in the last 4 years. If I remember correctly, it went for $700 and I don't think it had the original box.

all 3 are in their orig. boxes, still wrapped in the orig. tissue paper.
everyone was into chevys in the 60's and ignored the Buicks. Today you can pick up a chevy for 125 -150 but the Buicks are way up and rare. Have at least one of every year Buick from 1949 to the 1988-89 regal and reatta.
Check out the 1/18 scale 57 Roadmaster conv. by MotorMax. it is awsome.
