    Happy new year everyone.
Hey guys, in need of a new lead wire from distributor points to coil. I see them on Rock Auto made by Standard, however it shows the lead being only 3 1/4 inches long. That is much too short. Any help on this would be appreciated.
    Thanks John

It's just a piece of wire, nothing special. You could find the end terminals at you local home improvement store and make your own. I prefer to crimp and solder then shrink tube them.

I suspect the 3.25" length is a misprint.
I looked it up in the 64-72 Buick parts book @
    https://65gs.com/documentation/
It shows the primary wire is #1942518.
That is a good interchange # for the Standard DDL-29 that RockAuto lists.
The Standard Motor Products e-catalog lists it being 3.25" long.... that must be the source of the (incorrect?) length.

Both the 1942518 repo and the Standard DDL-29 are avail from several sources such as Amazon and eBay.
Fusick has a repo with grommet for $22.50.
I'd suggest buying it from RockAuto or Amazon ($12.57 shipped) and give it a try.
Here's a pic from eBay. Sure looks longer than 3.25"

Hey guys. Thanks for your input. Looking at the pic of the ddl-29. It appears to be long enough. I agree the 3 1/4 length they show is a misprint. I need a couple other items from rock auto soon and will order that lead as well.
    Thanks, John
