My friend dropped off his car(65 GS)to get the A/C done and he needs a muffler and drier, does anyone know where he can locate this stuff new?any help appreciated. Thanks
I needed a muffler for mine that is obsolete, and Old Air Products (Texas?) made one for me out of alluminum. I don't have their phone number, but I'm sure if you search the web you can find them. NAPA should have a drier, and if originality is an issue, you can have your original one re-built but that's expensive. Don't skip replacing it, old driers can burst their dessicant bag if you try to use it over and that will really cause you headaches. You must replace it. Good luck. :TU:
Send the dryer to Classic Auto Air in Tampa, FL and they will rebuild it for about $75. The aftermarket dryers won't fit the bracket, so it is worth a little extra for it to fit right. I have an extra muffler I can sell him.
I concurr with Brian on this. .Classic Auto Air is 30 minutes from me and they have a wonderful, huge sellection of rebuilt old classic original equipment A/C parts! :TU: And they're nice peeps to deal with too! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
