Heres my build. 1965 Gran Sport red on black 3 speed stick car missing original drivetrain. Needs total restoration as its been in a barn since 1972 but It wont get one for a year or two. My plan is to get it running and driving before I tear it apart for a frame off. I'm dropping in a stock for now 1970 455 and an NP833 overdrive trans and hydraulic clutch. I have the front and rear suspension done so far and have ran new disk brakes/lines and bigger fuel line and new tank new aluminum radiator/electric fan combo and TA engine/frame mounts. I plan to replace the wiring harness and add a Grand Cherokee steering box and pick out wheels and tires and install my pypes 2 1/2" exhaust. Here are some pics of what I'm starting with and whats done so far. Does anyboy see any reason why I could use a 67 GS400 clutch linkage on this car? I already have the pedals of course but I sold the naildhead clutch linkage. I was considering going with a hydraulic setup but I can get the whole conversion kit minus pedals for 200$ from the parts place.
I'm having a hard time getting pics uploaded but I can tell you I haven't made a lot of progress lately. I pulled my 455 out of the lesabre and got my np a833 overdrive off eBay. I lucked out the trans looked like new inside and already had the front bearing retainer turned down to fit my bop bellhousing although the starter doesn't seem to clear the bell so I need sort that out. I purchased a pilot bearing from dick miller and a hurst shifter but will need to make my own shift linkage and plan to use dom and rod ends. That's about it untill I get moved into my new to me house.
