'65 - '70 Riviera REAR disc brakes!

That's Right! I spoke with Scarebird today and they claim to have a bolt-on REAR disc brake setup for our cars! They have a rear end from a '65 Riv in their shop and claim the setup works!

I don't have the particulars yet, like which rotors and calipers it uses, but I plan on doing this swap on my Riv next winter. Deal is the same... use Scarebird brackets, source your own rotors and calipers.

They claim that the interchange manual lists the '65 - '70 rears and similar.

Wow. Won't that be nice! Dropping anchor in a boat like this!

I believe the wildcat and electra also used the big rear between '65 and '70, so they'd fit your car IF the shocks angle in at the top. Scarebird said if the shocks go straight up and down there could be interference.

The '67 Wildcat & Electra shocks angle in quite a bit more than the '67 Riv (angled in at the top, that is). Can't speak for other years.
