Hello All, Any one know what the first gear ratio is in these FoMoCo 3 speed gearboxes? There dosen't seem to be much information on these 3 speeds anywhere.
    Thanks for the help,
    -Andrew

According to the "Buick Features and Facts" book :Brow:
    the 3- speed manual is 2.49:1 in 1st, 1.59:1 2nd, 1:1 3rd.
These are the same ratios listed as the 46000 series 3-speed.
The transmissions do not look the same in the manuals though.

Thanks for the info Ted. Thats kind of close to what i got by counting input shaft revs as i turned the op shaft. I think this trans is very interesting since it was engineered for Fords. A little bit of good ole corporate hot roddin by GM to make that happen!

2.42, 1.61 and 1.0 from the 66 Chassis Service Manual under three speed transmission for GS Skylark and Wildcat.
