1 set of 65 66 gs exhaust manifolds . These are specific for the 65 and 66 gs car only. Very rare. asking $400. Horizon City Texas Also have a set of motor mount plates and motor mounts for the 65 or 66 gs with 401 engine.
I think 2 of the mounts are usable. I believe there is a company that re vulcanizes motor mounts. Some of the plates have an incorrect mount on them. I think maybe $100 for the plates and mounts.
Hey Gransportguy....If you have a set of 2, "small EYELETS" ( as in the attached pix) mounted to the oil pan bolts, ACROSS THE FRONT OF THE 401 ENGINE, used for holding the fuel line to the oil pan, routing to the other side of a GS. I have a friend who would like to make an offer on those mounting plates, motor mounts AND the eyelets IF YOU HAVE THEM for $100? Let me know. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
The adapter plates are correct for a 65-66 GS Skylark, the motor mounts are not....one of the ears is missing from the 4 bolt mounts. they might be big car mounts. The other mounts are small block chev. They will fit, but they only have a 3 bolt mounting flange. Another hole would need to be drilled in the original adapter plates.....was a hole drilled in them yet? You have some desirable parts there! There is a demand for them, but it'll take some time for the buyers to find your ad. Be patient!
Ok Walt...I'm a bit funcused now.. (I am still TRYIN-MY-DERNDEST to be edjumakatid about the 65 models!) SO..ALL of these LONG PLATES are correct for a 65 GS RIGHT? ...if so, WHAT extra holes are you talking about drilling? and where? My buddy doesnt want to buy a set if they're incorrect or drilled out with extra holes...thanx! (btw the attached pix IS his car) Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Yes, those cast-iron adapter plates are correct for 65 and 66 Skylark GS. I have a pic of the original engine mount next to the 3-bolt chev mount here: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=52035&highlight=steele Correct, new mounts for 65-66 GS are not avail. Pat had some redone by Steele Rubber by mixing parts from various old mounts.....used the baseplate from the Riv mounts, and a top piece with the two ears(maybe chev mounts?), then had Steele vulcanize them together. For a complete swap, you'll also need the cast-iron pads that bolt onto the frame.
You are correct, the mounts with the 3 bolt flange is a chevy mount. The mounts with the ear cut off are the correct mounts, but someone cut one ear off each mount, maybe to make installing the engine easier. My guess is these would still work. 2 of the mount plates have the correct original motor mounts, but the rubber is completly crushed, these would probably have to be revulcanized.
Interested in your manifolds. Any noticable cracks? Would need shipment to Kansas. What is your bottom price?
