It's the original engine/trans out of my `65 Skylark. It's been out of the car for 14 years now and I am certain I will never be putting the car back to stock. Fact is, I am considering selling the car as well. The engine/trans has 143,800 miles on it and it is complete from the drain plug to the air cleaner. It has all the brackets and pulleys, PS pump, alternator, motor mount frame brackets, switch pitch throttle switch, etc. It has the a/c brackets but no compressor. It ran fine when I pulled it out but if I remember right it was getting tired, It leaks oil and trans fluid, etc. It has always been stored inside in dry conditions that never got below 45 degrees. The car is a Florida car so there isn't any rust pitting on things. It is located in Rockford, IL, about 75 miles north of Chicago. There is also a pair of new motor mounts, a new water pump, new transmission filter and gasket and maybe a couple other things I am forgetting about. I need to clean out the back room. Come and get it. I'll help you load it. I am not offering shipping. I may be talked into bringing it to the Nats in BG in May but if I do that I will require a $200 deposit, fully refundable once it is out of my truck.

Interested in this. I'm in Plainfield. I likely could rent a truck next week or weekend and pick it up.

Let me know if that would work for you. Thanks.

Ok, so since I can't seem to give the whole thing away, if anyone wants anything off of it I'll pull it off and bring it to the Nationals next week, or I can ship it at your expense. I'm keeping the valve covers as a memento. The rest of it will likely go to the scrapyard when I get back.

Sorry I flaked out on it originally. Life gets in the way even with free stuff. But I did leave a voicemail for you last Thurs night and had a rental truck reserved for Friday if it was still avail.

    Anyway take care.

Sorry Brian, I never got any voicemails. I just checked it I get a message that it isn't set up. I broke my phone a while back and maybe just didn't set it up on the new one. Anyway. It's nice of Michael to back away from the converter if you're still interested, so if you are I'll just leave it until I get back next week. Just let me know today and I won't pull the converter. I really do hate to see it go to the scrapyard. I was going to pull a few things off just in case someday someone can use them.

Sorry I just seen your reply. Dano thanks.....

I could pick it up next week of you still have it.

I should just pay you $200 to drop it off in your way to the nats. That would be cheaper than renting a Enterprise puck up truck.

Probably should have come and got the whole thing when you had the chance, but here's what's left: long block but no oil pan or valve covers, alternator and PS pump and brackets, a/c brackets, fan, air cleaner, and the transmission but no converter. I just got back from 2 fun days at the nationals. I drove 7 hours, non-stop, 532 miles. Left BG at 5:00am, pulled in my driveway at noon, ate some lunch, mowed the lawn and took the Turbo car out for a ride. If anyone wants any thing else I'll keep it for 2 weeks, then it's going to the scrapyard.

Yeah I should have. Oh well. Thanks I'll pass on the rest. I needed the whole thing for my car.

That free motor was going to cost me $300 for the retal truck and gas. So I saved $300..

I know I am late to this thread, but I definitely could use the front & rear A/C & alternator adjusting brackets plus the fan clutch. I am adding A/C to my 65 Skylark convertible, and I have most everything but these brackets.
