hi gang, when I drive my '64 riv around town, my steering column gets pretty hot. Not too hot to touch, but I can feel the heat radiating from the metal cover plates, which is pretty annoying on a hot day when I'm trying to keep cool with the A/C full blast. it doesn't heat up too bad on the freeway, I assume because the high circulation of air is keeping things cooler. have any of you experienced this? I actually have ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, but it still doesn't make a difference. I'm thinking of crafting a heat shield around the steering box, but it seems like if this was necessary, the factory would have designed one. thanks for any help, jeff
