64-67 bellhousing and a 455, FYI

  1. i rread several places here n the board that you could not use a 64-67 V6 or 300-340 bellhousing and an 11" clutch behind a 455. i tested this theory to the limit. I bolted a stock 455 flywheel to my engine and test fitted the original v6 bellhousing.. no problems, then i bolted my twelve inch clutch assy to the flywheel and tested again..no problems. i rotated the engine 2 complete turns with zero problems. this allows two things on 64-67 cars whern doing a BB swap and retaining a manual transmission

1..more room for headers or exhaust on drivers side since you dont have the unused starter boss in the way.

2..All the original small block clutch linkage will work perfectly with no geometry issues
